The White Buffalo’s Feather – Fiction Novel by

Rita K. Kasinskas

I am immensely proud to announce that I have my first fiction novel published.  It is available at Amazon in both paperback and eBook.

Here is a description of the content of this novel of which I enjoyed researching and writing.

When dreams, which are part of everyday life, mystically become realty, adventures begin.

Deseray’s adventure begins, first with a reoccurring dream riding upon the back of a great white buffalo and continues upon meeting a young Native American man, Reg, a white buffalo and receiving a mystical eagle’s feather. This sparked her intense desire to learn and understand about the original Native people of America.

For her college thesis, she goes on an archaeological dig in Montana with her uncle John.  The anonymous sponsor of the dig adds to the intrigue of her adventure.  The purpose of the dig is to discovery if a tribe of Lakota American Indian lived in a specific area of Montana.

While on the dig, the mystical powers of the eagle feather, given to her by the great white buffalo, transport her to times past when the prairies were home to American Indians.

Fulfilling her desire to learn about their way of life, she discovers that the days were filled with hard work, struggles for survival and traditional activities of their daily life.  She also learns many of their customs, family values and sacred rituals.

Unexpectedly, she also discovers love.  The young  American Indian man, Reg, she had met in her own time, who become her guide in the past.

As time passed, she learned much about these wonderful people and learned to love them.  Often, she wondered if she would ever return to her own time.  Part of her wanted to remain in the past forever, and another part of her wanted to go back to her time and her home.
